FAQs

Piercing Size Guide

All our hoop, huggie and butterfly back earrings have a standard earring gauge of 20G. This is ideal for healed piercings.Conch hoop also have a 20G.Our labret and barbells have a 18G.

Gauge to MM Conversion:

20G - 0.8mm

18G - 1mm

16G - 1.2mm

Most piercings will be done with a thicker needle, eg. a 16G and when the piercing is healed it is recommended to reduce the gauge size of your bar.

Bar Length

New helix piercings will be done with a 8mm bar, this is slightly longer to sllow for swelling. When the piercing is healed, it is recommended you change the bar for a 6mm length bar.

Conch piercings will often be done with a 10mm, it is also advisory to reduce the length bar when healed to prevent the piercing twisting.

Tragus piercings and forward helix piercings may require a shorter bar but this depends on the thickness of your cartilage. Generally a 6mm bar should comfortably fit a healed tragus or forward helix piercing but a 4mm may be preferred or a small huggie.
